This plug-in extends the capabilities of the Align Tracks plug-in. As with the original version, it requires a synchronisation mark near the beginning of each track (see the description for the previous version).

This new version, designed for Audacity 2.4.2 or later, locates the synchronisation mark in the first selected track, then adjusts the positions of all other selected tracks to line up their synchronisation mark with the synchronisation mark in the first selected track.

Note that recent versions of Audacity have “ripple editing” disabled by default. This is only a concern if tracks contain more than one audio clip. In such cases, “Editing a clip can move other clips” should be enabled in “Preferences > Tracks behaviors“.
